Unfortunately, I believe your analysis of our situation is entirely correct. Our fellow housewardens and their vices are a prideful and immature bunch, so expecting cooperation out of any of them would be pointless. Not only that, but I'm certain the likes of Vil and Leona would have ideas similar to ours. There are just too many impossible targets to consider this group.
[ as much as riddle would like to be able to assure azul his childhood friends wouldn't do him dirty like that, riddle knows he would only be lying. hell, even with his crush potentially tainting his judgment riddle is pretty confident floyd would eat him for shits and giggles. ]
At least your expectations of Floyd and Jade are realistic... As for me and Trey, while I wouldn't necessarily want him to sacrifice himself for my sake, I must admit I would be a little bit upset if he didn't at least offer.
Truthfully, I don't think he would *want* to, but would only go through with it due to a sense of responsibility or duty. I want to respect his wishes, but he has a big family waiting for him back in our hometown.
I think he would be the type to offer, but only if things really got that bad that none of the berries or fish or anything else we've managed to scrounge up is edible. Trey-san would want to exhaust all other options before resorting to cannibalism.
[Trey is one of the few people out here who is holding onto the brain cell.]
Keeping Trey alive would be in our best interest. All of our seniors respect him, so he can convince them to cooperate with us and maximize our chances of not being chosen to be eaten.
Putting aside the issue of consent, I think our best bet would be to eat Cater. The danger is minimal because of his lack of combat skills, and that would allow us to make the most of the calories he can provide. He should be able to sustain the remaining 21 of us until help arrives, right?
If we ration him carefully when determining portions that each of us get, then yes, I think it should be doable to sustain us just long enough to reach the end of this trip.
[sorry Cater, the council has decided your fate...]
Although, we may need to come up with a cover story to tell Vargas and Crowley when we go back, as I suspect the latter will be displeased at the thought of having to pay quite a bit of hush money about one of his students getting eaten...
[ leave it to riddle and azul to plan this far ahead and for the worst of worst case scenarios... no one can say they weren't prepared when this trip is all over. ]
Rather than worrying about the Coach and Headmage, we should worry about his countless followers watching his livestream. Thousands of people already know where he is and what he is doing, so even the act of confiscating his phone will be documented. Any cover story we give to the authorities will be scrutinized heavily.
Oh dear, I hadn't thought of that. We'd have to make sure that we are not caught in the act of catching and eating him live on camera, that would make any cover story entirely pointless for covering our tracks...
Perhaps the best time to strike would be in the evening then, because surely he stops live-streaming or recording anything with his phone when he's sleeping... right?
