You did indeed arrive just in time. I was beginning to think I would need to scour every cave on the island and hunt you down.
[ he seems to remember riddle stomping into one of the various caves on the island where itto happened to be clearing out (not hiding) and ensuring that it was safe from monsters (not looking for hiding places) because he'd forgotten one of their dates (not because of an overdue beetle fight). ]
